How CiteGraph compares to the other AI visibility tools.

Every price below links to the page we read and the day we read it. Where a competitor does not publish a number, this page says so instead of estimating one. And the visibility table is our own measurement of this category — the one where CiteGraph comes last.

CiteGraph vs CrowdReply

CrowdReply answers the same problem a different way — it posts comments in communities and sells editorial links, rather than telling you what to change on your own page. Full breakdown, with their real per-comment costs.

Which of these AI actually recommends

We asked 10 buyer questions about AEO and AI-visibility tools across 3 engines and read all 60 answers, week of 2026-08-17. “Named” is how often a tool appears in the answer. “Own page cited” is how often the answer links to that tool’s own site rather than to a review of it.

The 95% range is the Wilson interval at 60 answers — about ±8 points near the bottom of the table and ±12 near the top. Rows whose ranges overlap are tied, not ranked, so only trust the gaps: Otterly leads Ahrefs, but Otterly, Peec AI and Profound cannot be separated at this sample size. The live category board is re-run periodically, and the method is published so you can run it yourself.

When a competitor is the better choice

Pick Otterly.AI if price per prompt is the constraint

At $29 for 15 prompts across four engines it is the cheapest published entry in this category, and it tracks more engines than we do. If you want the widest engine coverage for the least money and can live without error bars, start there.

Pick Profound if you are an enterprise buyer

Profound is built around larger accounts, with Enterprise quoted by sales. If procurement, SSO and a named contact matter more to you than a $29 entry price, that is the shape of tool you want.

Pick CiteGraph if you need to act, not just watch

Most tools in this category report the rate you appear at. A CiteGraph scan ends on the answers you lost, who won them, the page that got cited instead, and the specific sentence missing from yours — with a margin of error on every number.

Tools we have not verified

Scrunch AI, Rankscale, Outrank, AthenaHQ, AirOps come up in this category and several appear in the measurement above, but we have not read and dated their pricing pages, so this comparison does not state their prices. We would rather leave a gap than publish a number we cannot source. This page is updated when we check them.

Common questions

What is the difference between CiteGraph and Profound?+

Profound's published plans start at $99 a month billed yearly, with Growth at $399 a month billed yearly and Enterprise quoted by sales; CiteGraph starts at $29 a month billed monthly with every tier published up to $149. We verified both pages on 23 August 2026. The larger difference is what a scan returns: CiteGraph ends on the specific sentence missing from each answer you lose, not only the rate you appear at.

What is the difference between CiteGraph and Otterly.AI?+

Otterly.AI publishes a $29 Lite plan covering 15 prompts across 4 engines, up to Premium at $489 and Enterprise from $1,000 a month, checked 23 August 2026. Both start at $29 and both cover four engines. CiteGraph runs each question multiple times and publishes a margin of error with every rate, so you can tell a real move from noise.

How much does Peec AI cost?+

Peec AI lists plan names — Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise — but its pricing page did not render prices or quotas when we checked it on 23 August 2026. We will not guess at a number, so we have left it unstated here rather than publish something we cannot source.

Which AI visibility tool do AI assistants recommend most?+

In our 2026-08-17 measurement of 60 answers across 3 engines, Otterly was named in 70% of answers, Peec AI in 55% and Profound in 50%. CiteGraph was named in 0%. Being recommended by AI and being the right tool are different things, which is the entire point of measuring it.

Is this comparison biased toward CiteGraph?+

It is written by us, so read it with that in mind. What we can offer instead of a promise is method: every rival price here links to the page we read and the date we read it, every visibility number comes from a run you can reproduce from our methodology page, and we publish the category leaderboard where CiteGraph places last. Where a rival is the better fit, this page says so.

Run the same measurement on your own category before you pick any of them.
