Every percentage in CiteGraph is backed by answers you can read. The inspector stores each engine response in full — your brand and rivals highlighted in the text, every cited source linked — so no number ever asks to be taken on faith.
How it works
Grouped by buyer question
Each question shows its runs across all engines side by side, with a named-in count, so per-question variance is visible instead of averaged away.
Mentions marked in the text
Your product and each rival are highlighted in the verbatim answer — you see whether you're the recommendation, the alternative, or the afterthought.
Citations attached to each run
Every response lists the exact URLs it cited, linked, with favicons. The path from answer to source to play is two clicks.

Variance is the point
The same engine gives different answers to the same question minutes apart. Storing every run — not a sample, not a summary — is what makes an honest margin of error possible, and reading them is what makes the variance believable.
Failures stay on the record
When an engine call fails after retries, the missing answer is counted and shown, not silently dropped. A rate computed on 112 of 120 answers says so.
History you can re-read
Past scans keep their answers. When a rate moves, you can read last week's answers against this week's and see the actual sentences that changed.
What we won't do: paraphrase answers into tidier ones, or show you only the runs that support the headline number. The inspector exists so you can audit us.
Common questions
Does CiteGraph store full AI answers?+
Yes. Every run of every question on every engine is stored trimmed to length, with its citations. Older scans predating this kept verbatim answers for lost questions; every scan now keeps all of them.
Why do answers differ between runs?+
Engines are probabilistic and their retrieval varies. That's precisely why CiteGraph asks each question 3–5 times per engine and prints a margin — a single-run tool is reporting an anecdote.
